In his speech, Tian Zhongli noted that since the launch of the International Möbius Multimedia Grand Prix in 1992, the prestigious international event has boosted exchanges and advances in multimedia technology and global culture, building a platform for practitioners engaged in research, production, publishing and distribution worldwide to observe, learn and share ideas. BIGC forged its partnership with the Möbius Grand Prix back in 1998. Its multimedia art faculty has led teachers and students to develop numerous outstanding multimedia cultural works, with the institute representing China’s electronic publishing sector to claim top honors at the International Möbius Multimedia Grand Prix on multiple occasions. Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of digital arts education at BIGC and the Grand Prix’s own 30-year milestone, Tian expressed anticipation for robust win-win cooperation between the institute and the Möbius platform to advance the development of digital arts and high-level international academic exchanges.

Professor Ghislaine AZEMARD extended sincere gratitude to contributors from across the globe for their enduring dedication to the Möbius Grand Prix. In its early days, CD-ROM stood as an emerging medium, through which pioneering creators worldwide made remarkable strides in promoting the traditional cultures of diverse nations. Against today’s booming artificial intelligence landscape marked by widespread ChatGPT adoption, human creativity remains irreplaceable and must be continuously nurtured. Regardless of evolving times, the Grand Prix stays committed to serving cultural undertakings, national development and international educational communication. She spoke highly of China’s outstanding achievements in scientific and technological advancement, higher education talent cultivation, as well as the innovative adaptation and development of fine traditional culture. Recalling outstanding entries from past Chinese participants, Professor AZEMARD voiced great fondness and emotion, proposing these precious memories as a solid starting point for renewed bilateral collaboration.

Jean-Pierre DALBERA remarked that France’s Ministry of Culture has consistently backed the operation of the Möbius Grand Prix. As a pivotal international exchange platform, the Möbius Awards have greatly facilitated the dissemination of cultural heritage for museums across France and the globe alongside the growth of the publishing industry. He singled out the 2000 Möbius Grand Prix hosted in Beijing as an unforgettable highlight of the event’s history, which brought together digital media professionals from France, China and dozens of other countries worldwide. Held at the dawn of a new century, the Beijing edition enabled in-depth discussions on the future of digital media, delivering far-reaching benefits to China, France and the global industry at large.
