International Möbius Grand Prize: Competition Origins
Founded in 1992 by Professor Ghislaine Azémard from Paris VIII University, France, the competition was originally titled Prix Möbius International des Multimédias.
Under the auspices of UNESCO, it commits to boosting innovation and cultural exchanges across global multimedia and digital publishing industries.
Named after German mathematician August Möbius, the award draws symbolic meaning from the Möbius strip:a structure featuring seemingly opposing sides that interconnect and loop endlessly, symbolizing the integrated coexistence of technology and culture, art and science.
